All Kindergarten applicants must be assessed for their readiness to begin school. Students will be observed in a small group setting, as well as given a one-on-one readiness assessment. Students being considered in our first-round of decisions for the 2014-2015 school year will be assessed on March 1, 2014, by appointment only. Kindergarten applications received after February 14, 2014 will be assessed in a second-round assessment to be scheduled at a future date. A member of our Admission staff will contact you with your scheduled appointment time.
First – Fifth Grade Applicants
All first grade through fifth grade applicants are required to spend a day visiting a class in their current grade-level. All middle school applicants will be scheduled to shadow in their respective grade level. This shadow day is designed to give prospective students an opportunity to experience a day as an Academy student, going to class and specials with an assigned Academy student. Additionally, all middle school applicants are required to take the SSAT as a part of their academic assessment.
SSAT Testing - Middle school applicants are required to submit SSAT scores to the Academy. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will administer the SSAT on campus on February 1, 2014. Register online at www.ssat.org. The SSAT Code for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy is 5260. This test is offered once a month at other locations as well. We recommend taking the test on or before February 1, 2014 to have the results reported in time for our first-round decisions. Applications with scores received after February 14 will be considered on a rolling basis.
