We are delighted that you have decided to apply your child to Mt. Bethel Christian Academy and we look forward to assisting you with the application process.

Applications are still being accepted in select grades for the 2014-2015 academic school year. Please contact the Admission Office to determine where openings exist for the current year. The deadline dates noted below are for 2015-2016 applicants only.

If you will be applying for the 2015-2016 school year, please submit your application between October 26, 2014 and February 24, 2015 to be considered in first round admission decisions. Each of the applicatiion steps are summarized below and may be selected for more information.

To initiate the application process for the 2014-2015 or the 2015-2016 academic school year, please complete the following:

  • Complete the online applicationNew users will be prompted to create an account.
  • After completing the online application, you will receive an email confirmation with additional instructions.
  • Fees to apply for admission are $175 for lower school, which includes an assessment fee. The fee to apply for middle or upper school is $100, which does not include an assessment fee. Middle and upper school students are required to arrange to take the SSAT at an additional cost.
  • Please submit your child's birth certificate (submit by mail or fax, within 7 days)



After completing your online application, you will receive a confirmation email (as referenced above) prompting you to sign into your admission account again. When your application reads "submitted," you will need to follow the following instructions to complete your application:


For students already enrolled in elementary or middle school, please complete the Transcripts Release Authorization form and give to your child’s current school, authorizing them to submit to us a copy of your child’s current report card and a copy of the previous year’s final grades, along with any standardized test scores that may be in their file. This form should be given to your child's school within seven days of submitting your child’s online application.

Kindergarten  Applicants

All Kindergarten applicants must be assessed for their readiness to begin school. Students will be observed in a small group setting, as well as given a one-on-one readiness assessment. Students being considered in our first-round of decisions for the 2015-2016 school year will be assessed on March 7, 2015, by appointment only. Kindergarten applications received after February 24, 2015 will be assessed in a second-round assessment to be scheduled at a future date. A member of our Admission staff will contact you with your scheduled appointment time.                                    

First – Fifth Grade Applicants

All first grade through fifth grade applicants are required to spend a day visiting a class in their current grade-level. This is a fun day for the students, giving them an opportunity to experience a full day as an Academy student, going to class, lunch, specials, etc. Additionally, on Saturday, March 7, all lower school applicants will be given an academic assessment designed to help us gain a better understanding of his/her academic exposure and abilities. A member of our Admission team will contact you to schedule this appointment.

Sixth – Tenth Grade Applicants 

All middle school and upper school applicants will be scheduled to shadow in their respective grade level. This shadow day is designed to give prospective students an opportunity to experience a day as an Academy student, going to class and specials with an assigned Academy student. Additionally, all middle school and upper school applicants are required to take the SSAT as a part of their academic assessment.

SSAT Testing - Middle school and upper school applicants are required to submit SSAT scores to the Academy. Register online at www.ssat.orgThe SSAT Code for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy is 5260 or designate the recipient school as "Mt. Bethel." This test is offered once a month at other locations as well. 


Middle School applicants will have a brief interview with the Middle School Principal. Ninth and tenth grade applicants will have a brief interview with the Upper School Principal.


After the Admission Committee reviews your child’s file, a decision letter will be sent. Parents new to the Academy are then asked to meet with the Head of School for a time of introduction.

Applications completed by February 24, 2015 will be considered in our first-round of decisions, with decision letters mailed by March 18, 2015. Applications received after the initial deadline will be considered on a rolling admission basis and as classroom space is available, with decision letters mailed in a timely manner.
