PICTURE DAY for all fall sport teams will be Friday, September 10th.

Tryouts are NOT open to the lower school.  Some lower school students may be selected to take part on MBCA teams if needed based on numbers.  These selections will be made by the MBCA athletic department.

Please remember that schedules are subject to change and often do.  Rely on the Veracross athletic calendar for the most up to date changes.  Once signed into the veracross system, simply go to the calendars page and select the athletic calendar.  All athletic events will be listed on this calendar.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy believes that athletics play an important role in the life of a student’s education and spiritual development. The level of participation and competition is based on the development, ability, and interest of each student athlete.

The purpose of athletics is to teach the student athlete not only the fundamentals of sports, but what it means to have pride in one’s self and school, and to be the very best he/she can be. Teaching sportsmanship and how to deal with adversity provides the student athlete the opportunity to deal with real life as they grow and mature. We also recognize the important role a coach can play in the life of a young athlete. Our coaches demonstrate the highest standard of Christian principles and sportsmanship at all times.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy won The North Atlanta Metro League (NAML) All Sports Trophy in both the 2006 – 2007, and 2009 – 2010 school years. This trophy is awarded to the school which has achieved the highest level of success across all athletics throughout the entire school year.

Crown Athletics – Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn left onto Woodlawn. Turn left onto Johnson Ferry Road. Turn left onto Shallowford. Cross over Sandy Plains. Go past Lassiter High School and turn right onto Trickum Road. Cross over Jamerson and Hwy. 92. You will see Dupree Park on the right side about 1 mile past the First Baptist Church of Woodstock. If you dead end into Arnold Mill Road, you have gone too far. FOR BASKETBALL – Continue until you dead end into Arnold Mill Road. Take a left onto Arnold Mill Road and the gym is less than a mile on the right at The King’s Academy.

Excel Christian Academy – 325 Old Mill Road, Cartersville, GA 30120, (770) 382-9488
From I-75 take Exit 288 (Cartersville/ Main Street Exit). Follow Main Street to Hwy 41 (second light), turn left. Go to the second light (South Bridge Road) and turn right. Follow South Bridge Road to the first traffic light and turn right onto Old Mill Road and ECA will be approximately 1 mile on the right.

Excel Baseball Games – Hamilton Crossing Sports Complex- 116 Hamilton Crossing, Cartersville (770) 606-5849 – Take I-75 N to exit 288. Take left off of exit toward town. Go to 2nd red light. This will be Hwy 41. Go N. on 41 (Joe Frank Harris Pkwy.) towards Adairsville. Take a left at light at Fire Tower Road. (You will see Bus Barn and Stars Pre-K on right). Travel to the 3-way stop. Turn left at 3-way stop and you will see the school and field on right.

Intown – No athletic facilities as of yet

King’s Ridge Christian School: 2765 Bethany Bend, Alpharetta, GA 30004 – From GA 400: exit Windward Parkway (exit 11). Go west for approx. 3 miles. Windward Parkway will become Cogburn Road after crossing Highway 9. King’s Ridge Christian School will be located on your left at the intersection of Cogburn and Bethany Bend Road. The main entrance to the campus is on Bethany Bend Road. The campus adjoins the City of Alpharetta North Park.

Shiloh Hills – Take I 75 N to I 575. 260 Hawkins Store Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144 (770) 926-7729. Go to Bells Ferry Road, Exit #4. Take a left at the traffic light at the bottom of the ramp. Go to the 3rd traffic light, Hawkins Store Rd. and turn right. The church is on the right, turn into the parking lot and the gym will be on the left of the church. Ball fields are directly behind the church auditorium (right of cell tower).

Eastside Christian School - 2450 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA (770) 971-2332. Turn right out of Mt. Bethel. Continue along Lower Roswell Road until you come to Eastside Baptist Church on left.

Fellowship Christian School – 480 W. Crossville Rd., Roswell – Turn left out of school. Left onto Johnson Ferry Road. Right onto Shallowford. Left onto Childers Rd. Childers Rd. becomes Jones Rd. Stay straight and go onto Bowen Rd. Turn right onto Woodstock Rd./GA-92. Continue to follow Ga-92E. End at 480 W. Crossville Rd.

Mount Vernon Pres. School – 471 Mt. Vernon Highway, NE, Atlanta, GA 30328 (404) 252-3448. Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Roswell Rd. Turn left onto Mt. Vernon Hwy., NE. The school is about ¼ mile.

Mt. Paran Christian Academy – 1275 Stanley Road, Kennesaw, GA 30152, (770) 578-0182. Turn right out of Mt. Bethel. Follow Lower Roswell to S. Marietta Pkwy and turn right. Merge onto I75 North. Exit at Barrett Parkway. Turn left onto Ernest Barrett Pkwy. Turn right onto Stilesboro Road. Turn right onto Stanley Road.

North Cobb Christian – 3834-3899 Lakeview Way, NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 (770) 975-0252. Turn right out of school. Follow Lower Roswell Rd. and turn right onto S. Marietta Pkwy/Ga-120. Merge onto I 75 N. Take Exit 277. Take a left off the exit ramp onto Highway 92. At the second traffic light, Highway 92 turns right. GO STRAIGHT through the light. You are now on Cowan Road. When Cowan Road dead ends into the Day’s Chevrolet parking lot, turn left onto Main Street. You will see the entrance to the school a little more than 1 mile down on the right (there is a Conoco on the corner).

Perimeter – 9500 Medlock Bridge Road, Duluth, GA 30097 (678) 405-2000.Turn left out of church. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Road. Turn right onto Roswell Road, Take I 285E. Merge onto GA-141N via Exit 31B. End at 9500 Medlock Bridge Road.

St. Francis Middle School – 9375 Willeo Road. Marietta, GA 30068 (770) 641-8257. Turn left out of school onto Lower Roswell. Lower Roswell turns into Willeo Road. End at 9375 Willeo Road.

The Walker School – 700 Cobb Parkway N. Marietta, GA 30062 (770) 427-2689.Turn right out of school. Follow Lower Roswell Road to S. Marietta Parkway/Ga 120 and turn right. Go to Cobb Parkway and turn right. Walker is just past Allgood Road.

OTHER SCHOOLS/FACILITIES

Acworth Senior Field – Take I 75N and Exit at #277. Go west toward Acworth. Go straight at McDonald’s. Follow until the road dead ends into Main Street (across from Day’s Chevrolet). Turn left. At New McEver Road turn left and immediately turn left onto Toccoa Drive and follow to 2nd field on the left.

Adams Park - Take I-75 North to Chastain Road. Turn left on Chastain. After you pass McCollum Air Field go through the light until the road dead ends into Highway 41. Turn right to head north on Highway 41. Turn right on Watts Road (BB&T Bank will be on your right). You will see the entrance to Adams Park immediately on your left. The soccer field is the first field on your right.

Atlanta Academy, Inc. – 85 Mt. Vernon Hwy, NE, Atlanta, GA (404) 252-9555 Turn left out of school. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Road. Turn Right onto Sandy Springs Circle. Turn right onto Mt. Vernon Hwy. Approx. 5 miles from school.

Atlanta Girls School – 3254 Northside Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30327 (404) 869-2873. Turn right out of school. Stay straight on Terrell Mill Road. Terrell Mill becomes Delk Road. Merge onto I-75S. Take W. Paces Ferry Road exit (Exit #255). Turn left onto W. Paces Ferry. Turn right onto Northside Parkway, NW. Just over 12 miles from school.

Atlanta School for the Deaf - 890 N. Indian Creek Drive, Clarkston, GA 30021 (404) 296-7101 Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Roswell Rd. Merge onto I-285 East towards Greenville. Take exit 40 toward E Ponce de Leon Ave/Clarkston. Turn slight left to take the ramp toward I-285S/Church Street. Turn left onto E. Ponce de Leon Ave. Turn right onto N. Indian Creek Drive.

Blackburn Park – 3400 Donaldson Rd., Atlanta, GA 30319 Take I-285 Ashford Dunwoody Rd. Go inside the Perimeter almost 2 miles. Ashford Dunwoody merges with Johnson Ferry. Take a left onto Donaldson Road This is where the two roads split again. Parking will be on your first left.

Cottage School - 700 Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell, GA 30075 (770) 641-8688 Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn left onto Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Roswell Road/120E. Turn left onto Atlanta Street. Turn right onto Oxbo Road. Turn right onto Grimes Bridge Road.

Davis Academy – 8105 Roberts Drive, Atlanta, GA 30350 (770) 671-0085 Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Road. Turn left onto Abernathy Road. Merge onto GA-400 North. Take the Northridge Road exit #6. Keep left at the fork in the ramp. Ramp becomes Roberts Drive.

Epstein School- 335 Colewood Way, NW, Atlanta, GA 30328 (404) 843-0111 Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Road and go approximately 2.7 miles. Turn right onto River Valley Road. Left onto Bridgewood Valley Road. Turn right onto Colewood Way.

Faith Lutheran - 2111 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA (770) 973-8921 Take a right out of the church. Stay on Lower Roswell Road. School is on right. Approx. 4.5 miles from school.

Galloway School - 215 W. Wieuca Road, Atlanta, GA 30342 Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Road. Turn right onto Roswell Road. Turn right onto W. Wieuca Road.

Gwinnett Greater Christian – played at Buchanan High School of Technology, Norcross, GA—GGC BARONS HOME GYM , 2595 Beaver Ruin Road, Norcross, GA 30071 From I-285 (northern perimeter), take I-85 North. Take exit 101, which is Indian Trail-Lilburn Road. Turn left. Go to top of hill and turn left onto Beaver Ruin Road. Go a little over a mile and Buchanan School will be on the left.

Greenfield Hebrew Academy – 5200 Northland Drive, NE, Atlanta, GA 30342 (404) 843-9900. Turn left out of school. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Roswell Road/Ga. 9. Turn left onto Glenridge Dr. Turn right onto Northland Dr. Just over 7 miles from church.

Holy Spirit – 4449 Northside Drive, Atlanta, GA, (678) 904-2811, Turn left out of Mt. Bethel. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Riverside Drive. Turn slight right onto Mt. Vernon Hwy. Turn left onto Northside Drive. Turn left to stay on Northside Drive.

Marietta, Jr. – Game played at Perry Parham Park located behind Marietta Civic Center

Midway (Big Shanty Park) – If traveling North I-75. exit at the Chastain Road exit (Exit 271) and turn left (West) and go 2.6 miles and turn right (NW) onto Cobb Pkwy NW (US 41/SR 3) get in the left lane and go 0.36 miles and turn left (SSW) onto Kennesaw Due West Rd NW. Big Shanty Park will be on the left about 0.85 miles, just before Kennesaw Mountain High School.

Mount Carmel Christian School – 6015 Old Stone Mountain Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087, (770) 279-8443. Take I285 to Hwy. 78E (Stone Mountain Freeway) and take the Hugh Howell Road. Exit, (#30B). This will loop under 78. Turn right at the 1st traffic light on Hugh Howell onto Lilburn Stone Mountain Road. Go 0.2 miles to Old Stone Mountain Road and turn right. Go 0.5 miles and turn right at Mount Carmel Christian Church.

St. Martin Episcopal School – 3110 Ashford Dunwoody Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30319 (404) 237-4260. Turn left out of school. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Road. Turn right onto Roswell Road/Ga. 9. Merge onto I-285E via the ramps on the left toward Greenville. Take the Ashford Dunwoody Road exit (Exit #29). Keep straight at the fork in the ramp. Turn slight right onto Ashford Dunwoody Road. Ashford Dunwoody Road becomes Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn slight right onto Ashford Dunwoody Road. Approx. 11 miles from school.

Blackburn Park (CC) – 3400 Donaldson Rd., Atlanta, GA 30319 Take I-285 Ashford Dunwoody Rd. Go inside the Perimeter almost 2 miles. Ashford Dunwoody merges with Johnson Ferry. Take a left onto Donaldson Road This is where the two roads split again. Parking will be on your first left.

Wesleyan School – 5405 Spalding Dr., Norcross, GA 30092 (770) 448-7640. Turn left out of school. Turn right on Johnson Ferry. Turn right onto Riverside Dr., NW. Merge onto I-285E/Ga-407 E via the ramp on the left. Merge onto GA-141N via Exit 31B. Turn right onto Spalding Dr., NW

Whitefield Academy – 1 Whitefield Drive, SE, Mableton, GA 30126 (678) 305-3000. Turn left out of school. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Riverside Drive. Merge onto I-285W.
