Alum John Yi Ranked #1 Golfer

Alum John Yi, a rising ninth grader at Walton, is the number-one ranked southeast HIGH SCHOOL golfer in the All-American Junior Golf Tour. During the 2009-10 school year, his final year at the Academy, John won four tournaments, a feat that has never happened before. Prior to John’s accomplishments, the highest number of tournaments that one golfer has won is two in a year. He won tournaments in Sept. ’09, Oct. ’09, Feb. ’10 and May ’10.
