Mission Statement
The MBCA Sports Medicine staff aspires to provide the best comprehensive sports medicine program by cultivating a culture of care, and by promoting both the physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing of every individual. We support every student, athlete, visiting team, faculty, and their families by providing the highest quality onsite medical services that include, but are not limited to, the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of injuries and illnesses, rehabilitation services, and basic nutritional guidelines.

  • How can my child make an appointment with the athletic trainer?

    Each student-athlete is encouraged to arrange appointments with the athletic trainer by email, phone, or in person for all treatments and other medical services. Arrangements can be made for special treatment times to accommodate the student-athlete's schedule.
  • What is Athletic Training?

    Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute, or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic training is recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as an allied health care profession.

  • When is the Athletic Training Room open?

    Monday - Friday: 11:30 a.m. until the completion of practices and/or competitions

    Saturday & Sunday: Weekend times will be determined by the athletic competition schedule

    Hours are subject to change. 
  • Where is the Athletic Training Room Located?

    The MBCA Athletic Training Room is located in the fitness room of the Athletic Training Center.
  • Who are Athletic Trainers?

    Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers work under the direction of a physician as prescribed by state licensure statutes.
