Tryouts 2017-2018


MS/US Swim team

Swim Team is forming its 2017/18 Roster. All swimmers welcome in 6th – 12th grades. Prior swim experience (summer recreation leagues &/or year round club team) is strongly recommended.

PARENT/SWIMMER MEETING on September 19 at the Upper School Campus – 6:30 pm. Meet Coach Sherry Morgan, get our schedule for the season and share information about your preferred strokes.

5th grade swimmers will be considered on an individual basis. To be eligible a 5th grade swimmer must be confirmed as currently enrolled in a year round program & meet minimum time requirements.

Dual sport athletes – participants in basketball, clay shooting, year round swimming & other club sports are welcome & every effort will be made to accommodate scheduling conflicts.

TRYOUTS – Tryout Practices will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays starting 10/3 at North Campus Pool - US students 3:15-4:30; MS 3:45-5:00.

Final Roster will be determined by 10/13.

MBCA Time Trial Meet @ North Campus – Saturday, 10/21.

10/9 - Girls, 3:30 - 5:00, Parent meeting to follow, Olympia room (CAC-2nd floor, adjacent to walking track)

10/10 - Boys, 3:30 - 5:00, Parent meeting to follow, Olympia room (CAC-2nd floor, adjacent to walking track)

10/11 - Girls, 3:30 - 5:00

10/12 - Boys, 3:30 - 5:00

Cheerleading Tryouts - 8/31/17

No experience or skill required, we will guide and teach you!

Sign up by 8/29 using this link:

Attend tryouts: Thursday, 8/31 from 3:30pm – 5pm (Tryout location will be emailed once you sign up).

- Learn a sideline cheer, a quick dance, practice some jumps and then break up into groups of 3 for tryouts.

Parent meeting to follow at 5:00 in the Olympia Room of the CAC (2nd floor of gym adjacent to the walking track).

The 2017-2018 MBCA MS Cheerleading Squad roster will be posted to the MBCA website by 8/31 at 8pm.


Tryouts are not open to lower school students. In rare cases, a fifth grader may be offered the opportunity to join an MBCA team if circumstances dictate. The MBCA athletic department will have sole discretion in these decisions, with the cooperation and consultation of the student's parents.
