Atlanta offers students countless opportunities to explore historical, cultural, and educational venues. Experiential education comes to life through local and long distance field trips affording all students the opportunity to reach beyond the confines of the classroom. The learning experience is enriched through visits to the High Museum, the Center for Puppetry Arts, the Atlanta Zoo, the State Capitol, Jekyll Island, the Atlanta Opera, and the Atlanta Ballet.
Middle School students have the opportunity to be involved with instructional and experiential trips throughout the school year. Day and overnight trips range from Georgia Aquarium tours, science retreats, fine arts productions, to white water rafting trips. Additional trips are provided by academic subject matter and curriculum emphasis.
Capstone trips are also an important part of the middle school experience. Each grade has their own trip. Sixth grade travels to Washington D.C. for a three day/ two night tour of our nations capital. Seventh grade head to SIFAT in Alabama. Through real experiences, students in seventh grade learn all about how people in third world countries live. Lastly, our eighth grade students head on an international mission trip.
