Private school was never the plan for us, but that changed when we walked onto MBCA’s campus. We could feel JOY in the hallways, and as we observed our teachers teaching, and our specialists doing their specialties – it was undeniable that MBCA is where we belong. We still feel warmth and joy every time we are on campus. It is not the buildings that make this place so special, it is the people – the leadership, faculty and staff, students, and families - all working in unity towards a common goal, that make up the MBCA difference.
Ryan is now in seventh grade. Our youngest, John Luke, has been part of the MBCA family since Junior Kindergarten and is now in third grade. Our boys are thriving, and we enjoy the community that MBCA provides for us. Nick loves MBCA so much that he is the self-proclaimed “Mayor of MBCA.”
We have seen changes in the last eight years, but one thing is constant: this school pours into our students academically and spiritually every day. We are reminded this is God’s school, and He is in control. During the last two years, we achieved record enrollment, expanded class offerings, increased the numbers in our grade levels while keeping class sizes small, hired additional staff, and taken our athletics program to the next level, all while providing the most tuition assistance in school history. MBCA continues living out its mission to raise Christ-centered leaders. God is doing BIG things at MBCA.
We ask you to be in prayer as you plan your participation in this year’s Annual Fund. The goal for the 2022-2023 annual fund is $800,000 and 100 percent participation from our families by October 31. The faculty, staff, and board are already leading the way!
Soon, you will receive an email, text, or phone call from our team of Annual Fund volunteers about how to make a gift or pledge to the Annual Fund. If you are ready now to make your gift or pledge, please review the enclosed pledge card. You may complete the pledge card and send it to school with your student, or you may pledge electronically using the instructions on the pledge card. It will take two minutes of your time but will leave an impact that will last a lifetime. Remember, you have until June 30, 2023, to fulfill your pledge. The Advancement office will follow up with pledge reminders. Additionally, please inquire with your employer about a matching gift. Many employers offer matching charitable gifts as part of their corporate responsibility programs, and these dollars add up to further help our Annual Fund. These matching gifts also reflected in your giving levels.
The Annual Fund is essential to the financial health of our school. Not only does it support our state-of-the-art technology and safety enhancements, Annual Fund dollars also help keep our tuition low, attract and retain exceptional faculty, and invest in a bright future for our children. We have all benefitted from resources that our Annual Fund helps provide. Your gift advances MBCA’s mission of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and a lifelong love and desire for learning.
The Annual Fund differs from a capital campaign in that the Annual Fund supports operations while a capital campaign is funds raised for a specific purpose such as a expansion of facilities, new buildings, etc. However, a high level of Annual Fund participation is critical as we seek grants and other support from foundations and the philanthropic community. You can read about the Academy’s fundraising avenues in the enclosed 2021-2022 Annual Report.
Again, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you as we pray for another record-breaking year. We know God is able to take our gifts and multiply. We are reminded in Mark 10:27 that on our own accord it might seem impossible, but with God all things are possible. We humbly ask that you prayerfully consider how you will be a part of this year’s Annual Fund. Every gift matters! To God be the glory great things He has done for our school!
With sincere gratitude,
Mandy and Nicholas Arnold
