A: B.A. in History from the University of Georgia. MAT in Social Studies Education from Georgia State University.

What year did you join MBCA?
A: I first taught at MBCA from fall 2013 to spring 2019 before moving to a different position for three years. I have been back at MBCA since the fall of 2022.

What do you love about MBCA?
A: I love being able to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues within our MBCA community. I also love that I can include God in everything that I do here, whether that is praying with students, helping them build a biblical worldview, or worshipping together as a group.

What is your all-time favorite sports team?
A: Georgia Bulldogs

What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
A: Micah 6:8 - "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." This is my favorite verse because it gives us very clear marching orders as Christians as to how we are to orient ourselves to others and to God.

A: I love to read, play board games, and go curling.

What is your favorite book?
A: The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (although there are so many others I could name)

  • US 101 - Rescheduled Sep 5th

We have an important update regarding our upcoming US 101 – Upper School & Beyond event. Originally planned for this Friday, the day before the long weekend, we’ve received feedback that many of you may be traveling and unable to attend.

In an effort to respect your time and give all of our families the opportunity to participate, we are rescheduling US 101 to take place as part of our Upper School Open House on Friday, September 5. Rather than holding two separate events on different dates, we have decided that integrating Upper School 101 with our Open House will allow us to be mindful of your time while still providing the most comprehensive picture of the Upper School journey. This will allow you to hear directly from our high school students and recent graduates, ask questions, and gain valuable insight into the Upper School experience and beyond.

We will be sending additional details soon regarding the Open House schedule and how US 101 will be included in the itinerary. For now, we encourage you to mark 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5 on your calendar. If you already plan to attend, you can RSVP at this link, and additional details will follow in another email. We look forward to seeing you there!
