While the final results might not be impressive, the experience gained in our first match cannot be duplicated nor minimized.  The final match score (the top 4 of the top 6 golfers from each team were calculated to arrive at the scores) was Kings Ridge 181, MBCA 222.  Seven of our eight golfers were playing their first official match and they were playing it on a regulation course (Polo Golf and Country Club in Cumming) that measured 2718 yards for 9 holes as compared to the 1811 yards at Steel Canyon where we have been practicing.  It was a difficult challenge, but not one of our golfers complained nor used that as an excuse.  The medalist was the #1 golfer for KRCS whose family is a member of the Polo Club and he shot a 4 over par 40.

I was very pleased by the attitude and behavior of our golfers, and the presence and encouragement of the parents and grandparents who were able to attend.  We are a young team this year, but one which shows a great deal of promise for the future.  I am grateful for each of our golfers and feel blessed to have the opportunity to be part of their golf experience.
