In the Battle of the Peach Showcase - Mt Bethel comes up short against Osborne

After coming off a tremendous win against Fellowship the night before, the Mt Bethel Eagles had a quick turnaround in the Battle of the Peach Showcase event held at St Francis School. Our match-up was against a very good 6A school Osborne. Osborne features a 6'5 wing top ranked player along with several very good players. Mt Bethel came out going straight to the big fella, Peter Julius. He scored 11 points in the first quarter. The game was netted at 18-18 in the first quarter. The second quarter, Mt Bethel had more balanced scoring with 5 players scoring in the quarter. At half-time the score was 29-28. In the second half, Cadien Hudson got hot from the outside scoring 13 of his 19 points He hit 5 three pointers in the game. Speaking of three pointers, Osborne made 12 threes as a team and it was tough for us to overcome this. Roman Avery chipped in 12 points. Peter Julius finished with 19 pts and 10 rebounds. We have a little break now for exams and Christmas, but right after Christmas, we will head to the premier Tournament called The Arby's Classic.
