Mt Bethel dominates Fellowship in a great win

Silent Night!! Holy Night! What an incredible Night it was on the campus of Mt Bethel Christian Academy. With the THEME of the night being Silent Night, the crowd went WILD when Peter Julius DUNKED the ball for the 9th and 10th points. Tradition has it that the crowd will remain silent until the 10th point is scored and sure enough Mt Bethel didn't disappoint. We jumped on Fellowship 10 - 0 and on the 10th point, the crowd jumped the floor as Coach Boyd called time to enjoy the moment. With Mrs. Black class in the crowd, along with alumni returning to campus, plus our current student body all dressed in their favorite Christmas outfits, AND the 3 games going in Mt Bethel's favor, the night couldn't have been any better.
The Boys Varsity Basketball team came out on fire and never looked back. The first quarter score was 25 - 9 and by half-time it was 42 - 18. The Eagles were flying everywhere blocking shots, getting steals and crashing the boards. It was also raining 3's with the team hitting 10 threes. Balancing scoring once again was the key to success. Sophomore sensation, Peter Julius had a game high 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks. He was dominate around the basket. Senior, Dennis Esemuede was outstanding tonight scoring 16 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Roman Avery continued to stay hot from outside the arc scoring 15 points and netting 4 three pointers. Rounding out the double digit players, Freshman Cadien Hudson scored 13 points and had a monster dunk off a steal that brought the house down. The loudest the crowd got was in the 4th quarter when Senior Peter McDaniel hit a 4 point shot getting fouled on a 3 pointer. He hit another 3 to give him 7 points on the night. it was magical! 10 players scored to give Mt Bethel a season high 94 points.  What a great night it was! Mt Bethel improves to 7 -2 overall and 3 - 1 in the Region. Next up for your Eagles is a match up in the Battle of the Peach against 6 A school Osborne. This will be played at St. Francis and will be a great test.
