Eagle Dining

Eagle Eats

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy is proud to offer premier dining experiences that go far beyond the traditional school cafeteria. MBCA's high-quality dining options are provided to families at no additional cost, and offers allergen-friendly options to meet student needs.

For the Lower & Middle Schools, Ms. Cathy and her team provide a variety of options for students, faculty, and staff daily, including a super salad bar, seasonal fresh fruits, deli sandwich options, no-crust peanut butter sandwiches, yogurts, hot lunch, and beverages including milk options, assorted juices, lemonade, and water. Thursdays are special dessert days, also! This is an allergen-friendly kitchen, and all vegetables are prepared with olive oil only.

For Upper School, under the leadership of Chef Cody Alvarez and the team from Chef Advantage, students, faculty, staff, and visitors enjoy fresh, chef-prepared meals each day. From a rotating hot entrée bar and made-to-order sandwich station to an impressive salad bar featuring new selections each week, there is something to satisfy every appetite. Guests can also choose from a variety of beverage options and look forward to special themed menus celebrating holidays and featured national food days throughout the year.

At MBCA, dining is more than a meal—it is an opportunity to gather, connect, and fuel up for optimal performance.

*We are excited to welcome Middle School to the Dining Commons experience beginning August 2027, and Lower School in August 2028!

The Dining Commons (Coming Soon!)

Special Note: MBCA is working hard to ensure all grades - Junior Kindergarten through 12th - are happily sharing one campus! In the fall of 2027, Middle School will join the Post Oak Tritt Road campus, with plans for Lower School to follow in 2028. Dining Commons are Upper School for now - but we anxiously await the day when all divisions can participate in the same dining experience!

Hello! My name is Chef Cody, and I am a proud graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Baking & Pastry Arts and Hospitality Management in 2006. Originally from New York, I moved to Marietta in 2015 with my son, Dominic, to be closer to family.

My culinary journey began in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where I worked as a multi-unit café manager. Since then, I have built extensive experience managing quick-service restaurants, bakeries, and dining programs for colleges, corporate clients, and private educational institutions. One of the most rewarding chapters of my career was serving as Dining Director and later Executive Pastry Chef at Marist College, where I developed allergy-conscious menus and created a wide variety of baked goods and desserts for students.

Now at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy with Chef Advantage, I am excited to share my passion for food, baking, and nutrition with students and staff. My goal is to inspire young people to explore new flavors, appreciate wholesome ingredients, and discover the joy that comes from cooking and sharing meals together.

Outside of work, I enjoy discovering new restaurants and traveling around the country with my son, Dominic, who is an elite nationally ranked gymnast. Supporting his athletic journey while continuing to grow in my own career has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

"Chef Cody always goes all out for special occasions. I loved the Super Bowl food and decorations!" - Kelsey, Class of '29
We look forward to lunch every day! We can't wait to see what new delights await us on the hot, fresh fruit, and salad bars. My favorite is the Greek chicken with lemon potatoes and Chef Cody's homemade Tzatziki sauce. - Mrs. Johnston, Receptionist
