Important Update

Dear MBCA Families & Friends,
These are exciting times for MBCA, and I’m thrilled to share a vital update with you! The school has
been working tirelessly to build its future as one school on one campus.
Now we need your help! The school can secure substantial financing through a bond offering
within the next 60 days, enabling construction to start this summer. To move forward, we must
bring $1.8 million to the bond closing in May. Through the incredible generosity of lead donors,
we have secured $986,000 in the last few weeks and need to raise an additional $814,000.
The Academy's Journey...
If you are not familiar with the school's journey to independence and the plans to house all three divisions on one campus,
here is a recap of where we’ve been in recent years:
May, 2021: MBCA’s new bylaws and articles of incorporation were adopted, and Mt. Bethel Christian Academy
became an independent school.
March, 2023: We completed Arrow Field, our turf football venue, STEM labs, Film Academy, and built out Phase 1
of the Building Up Campaign.
August, 2023: We announced there were five years left on the LS/MS campus lease.
December, 2024: The master plan was approved by Cobb County
May, 2025: We will close on a multi-million dollar bond which will finance incredible new facilities: an Upper School
building (complete with classrooms, labs, STEM/robotics, Film Academy, student commons area, and more), new
dining hall & commercial kitchen, new Convocation Center which will contain a gym and theater, a new addition and
renovation for Middle School, and a new Lower School – all on the same campus!
June, 2025: Completion of the 20,000 square foot T. Scott Calvert Student Center -- we will move in this summer!

Everyday glimpses of our “why”…
An alumnus texting a photo of himself boldly
leading an outreach event with Cru, the college
campus ministry he’s involved in…
A grateful email from a Lower School parent
entitled “The MBCA difference” recounting one of
many stories of how our students are genuinely
loved and cared for by their teachers through
difficult times…
An assembly where our college counselor
enthusiastically shared the long list of seniors
accepted into their first-choice colleges and
honors programs…
These are just last week’s examples of how our students
are reaping the benefits of our mission – achieving
academic excellence, growing spiritually, and truly
developing a lifelong love and desire for learning!
This is why we are growing and why we are building out
an incredible campus. It’s all to accomplish our mission!
We will continue to raise funds over the next several years to fully pay for this project, but for now, we are asking for your
support to help close the gap for this immediate need by May 15.
Between now and then, we will continue engaging with key donors, but we are asking for the support of every family in our
community — parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends of MBCA — to make this dream a reality. God has opened this door for us, and together, we can “Build Up” towards the future of Mt. Bethel Christian Academy.

Please prayerfully consider how your family can contribute: Giving Link

This is a unique moment where your gift will have an unparalleled, exponential impact! If you have any questions, would like to hear more or discuss your gift, please indicate here if you'd like to meet: Meeting Request. And we will be scheduling town hall meetings for more information.

We know that “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain,” (Psalm 127:1) so we continue to pray earnestly for God to give us wisdom and to provide the resources to complete this vision. This is HIS school, and we pray that we will steward it well for God’s glory. Thank you all for being a vital part of the MBCA family -- with your help, we can build a school that will not only serve our current families but will create a legacy for generations to come!
