No matter how you have celebrated this Holy Week, it is the quintessential reminder of what draws us together as a community. Whether you enjoy a liturgical service or extemporaneous celebration, whether you observe Lent, celebrate a messianic Passover, gather for a Good Friday remembrance, a sunrise service, or join with family for Easter dinner – every moment points to the life-changing and life-giving event of Christ’s sacrificial death and resurrection!
Here at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, we highlight many such traditions, as each one is an opportunity to educate our students and celebrate the most central tenet of the Christian faith. Perhaps you are familiar with the ancient adage:
In the essentials, Unity
In the non-essentials, Liberty
In all things, Charity
Christ’s payment for our sins on the cross and his conquering of death through His resurrection is the most essential element that calls us together in unity across all backgrounds or faith traditions. This truth reminds me of our theme verse for the year: “How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1).
It is my heartfelt prayer that however you have celebrated this Holy Week that God will bless your family and bring its meaning alive in a special way. May you have a wonderful spring break enjoying time together with family and friends!
Parents vs. Coaches Game, Winter Sports Kick-off, and Bruce Crevier highlight the event on Thursday, October 30, at 6:00 p.m., at the CAC on the Lower & Middle Schools Campus.
